As an Analyst, Data Engineer, youll play a key role in strengthening how we use data to deliver safer, smarter outcomes for our customers and communities.
This role focuses on building scalable, highquality data solutions that enable faster, more informed decisionmaking. Youll work closely with data product teams and stakeholders to develop, optimise, and support data pipelines and models across the enterprise, with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and data quality.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Tmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
Ng Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Mu | What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models to support business outcomes
Support production data pipelines, resolving issues to ensure reliability and high service levels
Develop and maintain APIs and data operations to optimise and scale data processes
Write, test, and optimise code using GCP, BigQuery, and DBT in line with best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data solutions
Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from planning and development through to deployment and support

25 years experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, with strong foundations in software development
Intermediate to strong skills in SQL, Python, and DBT
Handson experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery
Experience building and supporting production data pipelines and APIs
Familiarity with Agile delivery and DevOps practices, including CI/CD and version control (Git)
Exposure to AIdriven data testing, optimisation, or governance tools is advantageous
