Job Title: Data Engineer – PeopleSoft SCM (Oracle Data Integrator & Azure Data Factory)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Oracle Data
Integrator (ODI) and Azure Data Factory (ADF). The successful candidate will be responsible for
designing, building, and maintaining data integration pipelines that support both on-premise and
cloud-based systems. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to gather
requirements, ensure data accuracy, and optimize data workflows, enabling the organization to
leverage its data assets efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Integration & ETL Development:
○ Design, develop, and manage end-to-end data integration pipelines using Oracle
Data Integrator (ODI) and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
○ Perform data transformations, cleansing, and loading between on-premise
systems and cloud platforms.
○ Ensure data quality and consistency across various data sources and
destinations.
Data Pipeline Optimization:
○ Optimize existing data pipelines to improve performance, scalability, and
reliability.
○ Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in real-time, ensuring that SLAs
are met.
Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:
○ Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and key stakeholders to
understand data requirements and translate them into robust data integration
solutions.
○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data
workflows between different systems.
Cloud & Data Warehousing:
○ Assist in the design and development of cloud-based data storage solutions,
particularly leveraging Oracle , Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and
other databases.
○ Participate in the design of data models and data flows for reporting and
analytics purposes.
Automation & Continuous Improvement:
○ Implement automation in ETL processes to improve efficiency and reduce
manual interventions.
○ Contribute to continuous improvements in the data integration architecture,
following best practices for data governance and security.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
○ 3+ years of experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for building and
managing ETL workflows.
○ 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for cloud-based data
integration and transformation.
○ Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Python for data manipulation and
transformation.
○ Experience working with Oracle databases and Azure cloud services (e.g., Data
Lake, SQL Database).
Data Modeling & Warehousing:
○ Experience in data modeling and database design.
○ Familiarity with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse,Azure Synapse Analytics,
and other modern cloud data platforms.
Problem-Solving & Communication:
○ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot data pipeline issues
efficiently.
○ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and
non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have):
○ Knowledge of other ETL tools and platforms like Informatica, Talend, or
Snowflake.
○ Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
○ Certifications in Azure Data Engineering, Oracle, or related fields.
Education & Certifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
● Azure Data Engineer certification (preferred).
● Oracle Data Integrator certification (preferred).
