Role Designation: Hybrid (work from office 3 /4 days a week)


Job description:



To support the short- and long-term strategic objectives, this role involves enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures, and collaborating with various teams to maintain data integrity to ensure it supports business objectives.


Responsibilities:


During your placement you will have the opportunity to:


Define and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to provide a comprehensive view of organizational data assets.

Establish and enforce data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Define and enforce data standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure data consistency and usability.


Qualifications:

We are looking for a student who is:

Currently in their 3rd or 4th year pursuing a Bachelor degree with a focus in Data Science

Analytical mindset, structured thinker and effective communicator.

Proficient in Excel and Visio.

Experience writing and documenting SQL code.

Experience working with Metadata, both defining and assessing quality.

An understanding of data practices (eg Metadata, Quality, Lineage, etc).

Bonus qualification:

Knowledge and experience with Data Catalog/Governance tools using Informatica (preferred), Alation, Collibra, Purview is a plus.
