About Your New Role

We’re looking for a detail-focused Data Officer to help us track the impact of our work and improve services for people experiencing mental health challenges.

In this role, you’ll collect, analyse and report on both numbers (like outcomes and needs assessments) and stories (like client feedback and focus groups). You’ll support staff in using our database correctly, help extract meaningful insights, and create reports that guide service planning, continuous improvement, and stakeholder reporting.

You’ll play a key part in making sure our data is clear, useful, accurate—and treated with care.

What You’ll Do

Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting

Collect and analyse both quantitative and qualitative data
Produce clear, accurate reports for internal teams and external funders
Identify trends and insights to inform service planning and development
Support ongoing quality improvement through meaningful use of data
Database Support & Administration

Help staff use the client database correctly and consistently
Support training for new staff and develop system guides
Maintain user access and manage roles in the system
Ensure accurate data entry, and lead data cleansing tasks
Data Integrity & Ethics

Handle data ethically and confidentially
Promote best practice in data privacy and security

What You’ll Bring

Experience collecting, analysing, and reporting on data
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to use data systems and tools (e.g. Excel, databases)
Strong time management and organisational ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

It’s a bonus if you have these, but not essential

Experience working in mental health, community services, or the not-for-profit sector
Familiarity with client management systems (e.g. Penelope or similar)
See attached Position Description for full details.
