Responsibilities:
• Work closely with legal, compliance, IT, and security teams to manage data privacy initiatives.
• Lead the implementation of privacy policies and risk mitigation strategies.
• Independently draft, review and negotiate DPAs, Standard contractual clauses and other relevant data protection documents.
• Oversee the company’s global privacy program, ensuring adherence to privacy laws and internal policies.
• Lead the execution of the India Digital Data Privacy Bill.
• Establish frameworks for ongoing monitoring of privacy compliance including but not limited to setting up end to end framework for Controller and Processor in an organization.
• Review and update privacy policies regularly, ensuring compliance with audits and regulations.
• Lead responses to data breaches, privacy complaints, and access requests.
• Assist with data breach notification and remediation processes.
• Conduct privacy awareness programs and training for employees from time to time.
• Plan and execute internal audits to assess operational efficiency.
• Identify areas for process improvement and risk mitigation.
• Produce comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Advise on privacy laws and implement actionable guidelines across jurisdictions.
Required Skills:
• Law degree with 5+ years of experience in data privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in GDPR, CCPA, India Digital Data Privacy Bill, and other relevant data protection laws.
• Strong communication, program management, and incident response skills.
• Ability to monitor privacy trends and adapt policies accordingly.
