Role: Database Administrator
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Description
This position is part of production support managed services technical team, which is responsible Database Administration, up keeping, uptime, upgrades, performance tuning and related operations in L2 & L3 support levels without involving any development responsibilities on Oracle Exadata appliance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administration, backup, maintenance and operational support of databases on Exadata.
The engineer will be working in a group of IT experts locally supporting production and non-production database server.
Additional Responsibilities
• Manage all levels of database security and data integrity through the development life cycle.
• Manage Exadata HW with Linux OS.
• Provide primary problem management support by receiving, trouble shooting and solving the daily problems reported by internal customers.
• Install, upgrade and patch Oracle databases so that our environments remain current
• Assist users with both basic SQL questions and sophisticated SQL tuning strategies
• Analyze database resource consumption, for problem avoidance and trend forecasting
• Test backup and recovery scenarios, as well as formulate disaster recovery procedures
• On-call requirements to ensure 24 x 7 support of database operations
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or science
· 3 to 5-year experience as DBA with Exadata
· Good knowledge of working in Exadata environment & handling administrative tasks and perform monitoring on daily basis.
· Cell Server Administration, InfiniBand Monitoring, Cluster Administration & Monitoring.
· Health checks of the machines through exachk, cellcli, dcli,dbmcli utilities.
· Experience in shell scripting and automating jobs in UNIX environment
Strong Experience in 10g/11g/12c/1+c databases with multi node RAC with ASM, VCS, CRS and SRVCTL, CRSCTL, ASMCMD, DCLI, CELLCLI Command line interfaces.
Notice Period : 30 to 45 Days.
Must be ready to relocate to onsite location.
