Job Title: Domestic Energy Assessor
Location: Merthyr
Rate: £20-£23ph
Duration: 3 Months
Are you passionate about transforming homes into energy-efficient, sustainable spaces? BRC are on the lookout for an experienced Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) Surveyor to lead the charge towards decarbonising homes and improving energy efficiency across our portfolio.
What You’ll Do:
As a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) Surveyor, you will be working within the property services team of a local housing association. You’ll play a key role in supporting their mission to deliver Carbon Neutral Homes working with their Assets Department, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure our properties meet energy efficiency and decarbonisation targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Energy Assessments and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) across our housing stock.
Conduct in-depth surveys to meet government housing and environmental regulations.
Provide energy assessments to help inform investment planning and maintenance strategies.
Work closely with contractors to ensure high standards of performance and compliance. Are You Our Ideal Candidate?
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about energy efficiency and sustainability, with the following skills and experience:
Experience in property maintenance, working with contractors or clients.
In-depth knowledge of PAS2030/35 and building regulations.
Expertise in domestic energy assessments and producing energy performance reports.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
A Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment and a valid UK driving licence. You’ll need to be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and a self-starter who thrives on making a positive impact.
