Job Description
• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of the demand planning function.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
• Interact with sales, product, and the customer to understand demand forecast drivers.
• Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with Growth & Operations to ensure dissemination of relevant information to and from the wider planning functions of the business.
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand & supply planning processes.
• Report weekly to stakeholders with key forecasting and fulfilment utilization updates.
• Create and maintain forecasting & utilization scorecards for meaningful discussions with customers.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy & address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Fully understand the key supply/resource planning parameters(lead-time, planning cycle, supply reliability, demand variability, customer service target etc), working capital targets and E2E process
• Ensure that SOP is in place under your responsibility
• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies
• Responsible for leading discussion with a team (Marketing, Growth, Sales and Operations) to produce a scientifically based operational forecast and annual business plan, in order to advise and challenge senior management when agreeing the overall business forecast
• Key interface between Growth, operations, and Business finance. Prepare capacity constrained supply plan and create buyin from cross functional teams to minimize demand loss and also avoid underutilization of fulfillment capacity.
