Job Description
This role resides within the Technical Accounting Treaty Team
These teams are responsible for administering all Global Treaty business written within
AXA XL. This includes High degree of expertise involving multiple systems with payments & collection across various branches and systems like Genius, Destiny, Procede.
This role requires the individual to manage individuals & team Bill/Settle all amounts payable/receivable as per scheduled/communicated due dates or record reasons for delay on Credit control report and inform DAM and Line Manager accordingly. Effective escalation of balances to the Credit Control team, to include clear communication of efforts to date and notification upon receipt of funds.
Also Ensure Payment Request Spreadsheet and other trackers are fully updated.
Administration of Specific contracts iro Brazil, China CPL etc. expected to be given more attention.
To work effectively with onshore colleague in resolution of treaty credit control items with appropriate comments, chasers and escalations.
Ensure effective system of cash allocations or investigation and narration if cash cannot be cleared within 24 hours .
Ensure all reports undertaken within Technical Accounting are fully narrated and followed up accordingly within communicated deadlines.
The role requires the individual to have proficient Insurance/Reinsurance Knowledge and experience in
Technical Accounting role or similar. There will be high level of interactions with numerous areas within the organization- Senior Management, Ceded Re, Finance, Claims and external to the AXA XL (Brokers) on a global basis so excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written) are also essential.
• 8 to 10 years’ experience in Insurance Industry in particular Reinsurance or Finance field.
• PC Skills – Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Email essential.
• Team Handling skills is mandatory.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Capability to think “out of box” to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure.
• Ability to work well on own and manage a team.
• Ability to self-motivate.
