Salary range $81,854 to $+4,78+ per annum
Flexible working arrangements and +-day fortnight

About the Role

As a Development Assessment Officer, you will:

Assess development and subdivision certificate applications.
Provide professional planning advice to Council and the community.
Investigate and respond to complaints, unauthorised developments, and nuisances.
Prepare and issue accurate Section 10.7 Planning Certificates.
Represent Council in court proceedings when required.
Contribute to the development of policies and reports to support Council objectives.
About You

To excel in this role, you will need:

Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or Building Surveying (or current enrolment in such studies).
A valid Class C driver's licence.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and codes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in computer and keyboard skills.
