Position Title: DevOps Staff Engineer Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week Summary of Duties: Responsible for the successful deployment of integrated and stand-alone releases into production.
Design, implement, and maintain Build strategies and definitions, CI/CD tooling and processes, and packaging and deployment solutions. Automate Software and OS configuration through PowerShell and MSI packages. Troubleshoot production issues and steer them to resolution along with other teams.
Develop proof of concepts and propose solutions to architecture and tech leads. Improve deployment processes to ensure zero downtime and simple rollback protocols for all releases. Build and improve monitoring and alerting solutions.
Continually lead, facilitate, and coordinate synchronized release to maximize value delivered to their customers. Ensure work is in compliance with security requirements. 5-10% domestic travel required to Labs and Hospitals.
Remote work permitted. Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or as a Configuration & Infrastructure Engineer, Application Development Engineer, Software Engineer, or an acceptable alternate occupation. Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Configuration & Infrastructure Engineer, Application Development Engineer, Software Engineer, or an acceptable alternate occupation.
The position requires 5 years of experience with the following skills: Experience in DevOps activities; Experience with software configuration management, infrastructure, and automation tools; Experience in defining and implementing Build strategy and Build definitions; Experience designing and implementing packaging and deployment solutions; Experience writing secure code to protect against common cybersecurity vulnerabilities; Experience transforming Culture to DevSecOps; Experience in generating Secure Base Image with automation using MDT. The position requires eight (8) years of CI/CD experience. The position requires experience with the following skills: Experience with at least 2 CI/CD products, such as Cruise Control, Jenkins, TFVC/AZDO, IBM Urban Code Deploy, Git, or GitHub; Experience designing Windows Installer using PowerShell or WiX toolset.
