Director Enterprise Projects and Strategy

Total Remuneration Package Range starting from $247,865 – $272,811
Your role
As the Director, Enterprise Projects & Strategy, you will set the strategic direction for Corrective Services NSW, shaping the organisation’s long‑term priorities, policies and reform agenda. You will oversee major strategic projects, ensure disciplined prioritisation and delivery, and provide authoritative advice to the Executive on emerging issues and opportunities. Your leadership will drive clarity, alignment and system‑wide impact strengthening performance, influencing policy outcomes and guiding CSNSW through complex operational and government environments.
What you’ll do
As the Director, Enterprise Projects and Strategy, you will:
Lead the development of CSNSW’s strategy and enterprise policy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and government objectives.
Drive a disciplined approach to project prioritisation, governance and delivery, ensuring risks are identified early and outcomes achieved.
Provide authoritative, evidence‑based advice to the Executive on policy direction, reform priorities and complex system issues.
Oversee quality assurance and performance monitoring of strategic projects to ensure value for money and effective implementation.
Build strong cross‑government and sector partnerships to support policy alignment, strategic engagement and reform outcomes.

What we’re looking for
Proven executive experience leading strategy, policy development or large‑scale reform programs in complex environments.
Strong ability to influence senior leaders, navigate politically sensitive issues and provide authoritative, evidence‑based advice.
Demonstrated capability in managing large, diverse project portfolios with strong governance, prioritisation and delivery discipline.
Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to shape outcomes across agencies.
A track record of building high‑performing teams and driving strategic clarity, organisational alignment and system‑level improvements.
A commitment to ethical leadership, cultural safety, inclusion and high‑performance environments.

Corrective Services NSW delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce reoffending and create safer communities. We manage inmates in custody and supervise offenders in the community, working closely with courts, releasing authorities and partner agencies to support rehabilitation, reintegration and community safety.
