Job Title: Director, Innovation
The Department of Health in Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Director, Innovation. About the Role:
This fixed-term full-time appointment for five (5) years will provide leadership, direction, and support to the WA health system and industry partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities and barriers to entry for innovative medical ideas, developing strategies, policies, systems, and processes to inform, accelerate, and guide clinicians and medical researchers through regulatory challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate innovation activities across the WA health system and public sector
• Identify and consider opportunities and barriers to entry for innovative medical ideas
• Develop strategies, policies, systems, and processes to inform, accelerate, and guide clinicians and medical researchers
• Expand the health and medical innovation ecosystem by connecting innovation activities
• Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders to advance innovation in the WA health system
