Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Influence and develop strategy, policies, priorities, and operational practices in support of DFAT's foreign, trade, and development policy and global corporate management functions.
Provide advice to senior management, Ministers, and other key stakeholders.
Lead teams and manage corporate functions, including budgeting.
Negotiate, advise, and litigate on high-profile international, trade, investment, regulatory, and domestic law issues.
Requirements
Law degree (or equivalent) from a recognised Australian tertiary education provider or an overseas tertiary education provider recognised for admission to practice in Australia.
Entry in the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia or the roll of barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of a State or Territory is desirable.
