Executive Level 2 (EL 2) – Ongoing
Salary: $146,+42 – $170,725 per annum
Duties:
Lead the planning, management and delivery of the Macquarie Island Station Project, ensuring outcomes align with departmental objectives and government priorities.
Provide strategic direction and expert advice to senior executives, stakeholders and governance bodies on project scope, progress, risk, and compliance.
Oversee project governance, including budget control, procurement, risk management, and reporting in accordance with Commonwealth policies and frameworks.
Manage high-performing, multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
Coordinate external consultants and contractors, ensuring work is delivered to scope, time and quality standards, particularly in complex and remote conditions.
Engage with stakeholders, including state and Commonwealth agencies, to negotiate, consult and maintain support for project outcomes.
Ensure compliance with environmental, building and heritage regulations, including the coordination of necessary approvals and proactive management of risks.
Represent the department in high-level forums, stakeholder meetings, and public engagements related to the project.
Lead effective communication strategies, providing high-quality written and verbal briefings, reports and ministerial correspondence.
Support broader divisional goals, contributing to strategic planning, cultural leadership, and future capability development.
