Job Description

Director of Marketing Growth Job Description

About the Role

The Director of Marketing is a senior-level leader responsible for owning and driving the full revenue-generating marketing function at Empify. This is not a brand manager or a campaign coordinator, this is the person who wakes up every morning thinking: how do we generate revenue this month?

Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will own the campaigns, the funnels, the email engine, the affiliate partnerships, and the marketing calendar. They will set the direction, manage the team, hold the agencies accountable, and be fully responsible for turning marketing into predictable, scalable revenue.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing high-level revenue strategy and rolling up their sleeves to ensure precise execution at every stage of the funnel. If you want to build something and you know how to turn marketing into money, this role was built for you.

Compensation & Benefits

Details: Full-time, Hybrid Role

Compensation: $100,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Bonus: Eligible for annual performance bonus of up $40,000+ tied to key revenue milestones and business growth targets

Growth Opportunity: Exceptional performance may lead to expanded responsibilities and long-term incentive opportunities

Benefits: Health insurance, Dental insurance, and paid time off

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy & CEO Partnership
• Serve as the CEO's primary thought partner on growth strategy — translating high-level opportunities into structured campaigns, funnel architecture, and executable revenue initiatives with clear ownership and timelines
• Develop and continuously optimize a cohesive revenue roadmap across webinars, evergreen funnels, free trials, membership programs, and virtual events to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual targets toward $25M
• Identify and build new revenue channels while scaling existing ones — and support executive-level forecasting and reporting as the company grows

Webinar Marketing Engine
• Own the full webinar marketing cycle from pre-event promotion through post-event conversion, start to finish
• Monitor registration, show-up, and conversion data in real time and implement optimizations without delay
• Partner with Marketing Operations on execution while maintaining full strategic ownership of outcomes and performance

Email Marketing & Agency Management
• Own the full relationship with Empify's email agency, serving as the client lead, quality standard, and strategic driver. Every email is reviewed for tone, brand voice, and revenue alignment before it goes out. Nothing deploys that does not meet the bar.
• Analyze open rates, click rates, and revenue attribution on an ongoing basis and act decisively on the data, ensuring all communications support the full funnel from top-of-funnel awareness through post-purchase monetization.

Campaign Strategy & Marketing Calendar
• Own and maintain the centralized marketing calendar, coordinating email sequences, SMS campaigns, upsell pushes, webinar promotions, affiliate partnerships, and product launches into one unified, timeliness-driven execution plan.
• Develop new revenue-generating campaigns for both new leads and existing members, and see them through to full execution, every campaign has a clear revenue goal, a defined audience, and a measurable outcome.

Affiliate & Partnership Marketing
• Identify, build, and manage affiliate partnerships with influencers and aligned organizations, developing outreach strategy, onboarding processes, and performance tracking to grow brand reach and drive a consistent flow of qualified leads.

Website Optimization & SEO Oversight
• Lead the transformation of the Empify website into an active, revenue-generating asset overseeing all third-party SEO partners, holding them accountable to results, and ensuring site content stays current, conversion-focused, and aligned with active campaigns and offers.

Sales Funnel Strategy & Collaboration
• Work directly with the Sales team to design, optimize, and own conversion funnels end-to-end, aligning marketing campaign strategy with sales execution, reducing friction at every stage, and leading A/B testing and conversion rate optimization across all touchpoints to increase close rates and revenue per lead.

Conversion Optimization, Reporting & Forecasting
• Continuously analyze funnel performance, email metrics, webinar show-up rates, and trial conversions, leading A/B testing initiatives across campaigns, landing pages, subject lines, and offer structures to improve revenue per lead at every touchpoint.
• Define and own all key performance metrics tied to acquisition, conversion, and total revenue, building reports that provide clear visibility into funnel health, campaign effectiveness, and ROI, and presenting forecasts and performance updates directly to the CEO on a regular cadence.

Team Leadership & Accountability
• Build and lead a focused, results-driven marketing team across email, funnels, automation, analytics, and copywriting - managing internal staff, contractors, and agency partners with clear priorities, defined lanes of ownership, and full accountability to measurable revenue outcomes.
• Develop talent, set the standard for high performance, and build a team culture where urgency and execution are the baseline

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in marketing, growth, or revenue-focused roles, with at least 4+ years in a leadership position owning company-wide revenue strategy and cross-functional execution
• Proven track record of developing and scaling revenue engines that generate $5M–$10M+ annually across digital products, memberships, virtual events, or online education models
• Demonstrated success executing webinar-based acquisition, evergreen funnels, upsell and downsell flows, and free-to-paid conversion strategies at scale
• Proven experience developing and scaling virtual summits as a revenue and customer acquisition channel
• Deep expertise in email strategy with a proven ability to identify what converts, diagnose what does not, and act on it
• Experienced mapping, building, and optimizing conversion funnels end-to-end across multiple offer types
• Fluent across digital marketing channels including webinars, SMS, email, SEO, affiliates, and paid acquisition
• Strong analytical foundation with the ability to interpret data, draw clear conclusions, and move quickly on them
• Proven ability to manage agencies, contractors, and internal staff simultaneously without losing execution quality
• Experience building and scaling affiliate and partnership programs that generate consistent, qualified lead flow
• A strong creative eye for brand voice and messaging with the ability to ensure all output reflects the Empify standard
• You have operated at a scale relevant to a $25M business, and you are ready to build toward it
• You are confident in your ability to make money for a company.
