ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Western Sydney. You will provide support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will support our customers to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
· Supporting our customers to achieve their goals
· Assisting with daily living activities including cleaning to maintain living spaces, meal preparation, etc.
· Encouraging and assisting customers in the community including attending social activities, doctor's appointments, walking, partaking in hobbies and trying new activities, etc.
· Providing emotional support and building friendships
· Developing and encouraging a consistent, sustainable routine
ABOUT YOU
You are a passionate and dedicated individual who is looking to make a difference in the community. As a people person, you pride yourself on exceptional customer service whilst ensuring customers achieve their goals and aspirations.
Requirements:
· Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers
· Experience working with customers with complex support needs (e.g., mental health concerns, etc.)
· Driven, compassionate, reliable & committed
· Strong communication skills
· Willingness to learn
· Flexibility with shift times
· Shifts available Monday to Friday (4 hours per day - times are flexible for the right candidate)
· Additional shifts available with other clients in different locations
WHAT YOU NEED:
· Current driver's licence and vehicle (essential)
· Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
· NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)
· NDIS Module 1 (or willing to obtain)
· National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
