About the Role:
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with personal care, managing behaviours of concern, and promoting independence and community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide respectful and professional personal care assistance.
Support clients with challenging behaviours using proactive, person-centred strategies.
Foster independence and participation in daily routines and community activities.
Maintain clear, respectful, and effective communication with clients, families, and team members.
Follow individual support plans, behaviour management strategies, and health care protocols.
Requirements:
Proven experience with personal care and behaviour support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Current First Aid & CPR certification.
Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred).
Relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, or related field (desirable).
