The Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) is a pioneering initiative by the Government of India, Government of Maharashtra, FICCI, and CII, aimed at advancing India's leadership in AVGC-XR (Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics, Extended Reality). By fostering collaboration between government, industry, and academia, IICT empowers the next generation of creative tech talent and drives policy innovation. Currently operating from NFDC in Mumbai, with a planned 10-acre facility at Film City, Goregaon, IICT strives to realize its vision of “Create in India, for the World.”
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for an Esports Operations Executive Intern. The intern will support the coordination and execution of esports events, manage operational logistics, and oversee game schedules and tournament structures. They will collaborate with various teams to ensure a seamless event experience, analyze processes for efficiency, and assist in reporting and documentation. The role requires proactive communication, multitasking, and attention to detail under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
• Assist in content curation for esports management & tournament modules.
• Support trainers during match simulations, lobby setups, scrim practice, and event flow rehearsals.
• Create sample tournament formats, brackets, rulebooks, cue sheets, and broadcast documents with seniors.
• Assist with video content creation for highlights, match breakdowns, and learning materials.
• Manage match operations: scoring, communication, lobby coordination, and scheduling.
• Support production teams with overlays, stream elements, OBS/Streamlabs setup.
• Assist with basic broadcast operations and esports content workflows.
• Continuously upskill in esports management, tournament tools, and broadcast systems.
Software & Knowledge Requirements
• Understanding of tournament tools: FACEIT, Game.tv, Challonge, Battlefy, etc.
• Basic knowledge of OBS / Streamlabs for broadcast assistance.
• Familiarity with Discord, Steam lobbies, rulesets, fair play norms, and esports formats.
• Basic video editing knowledge (Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci).
• Good understanding of esports titles and team structures.
• Portfolio mandatory – event work, tournament sheets, clips, broadcast samples, or documentation.
• Bonus +1: Prior experience working with tournament organizers (community, college, online).
Stipend - 15 k - 18 k per month
