This includes handling complaints about lawyers, investigating poor conduct and overseeing management of trust accounts. We are also the stewards of the public purpose and fidelity funds and administer these to support legal regulation and access to justice in Victoria.
We are a modern best practice regulator, using data and insights to help identify where our actions can have the greatest impact on ensuring ethical and professional legal practice by Victorian lawyers. We are seeking an Early Resolution Officer to join our Early Resolution & Complaints team. You will be responsible for assessing concerns about Victorian lawyers' service or conduct, resolving service issues early, and referring or assessing conduct matters as appropriate.

We are looking for candidates with the following:
An understanding of the operation and regulation of legal practice and how to interpret and apply legislation
High level of communication and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to use those skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and ability to use information technology resources conscious of confidentiality and privacy
