About the Team The Learning Design & Technology Unit team sits within the Education Portfolio (EP) of the Division of Education and Students. The Unit consolidates expertise in digital pedagogy, the digital learning technology ecosystem, inclusive practices, educational media and learning experience design that enables the streamlining of support for staff, with more opportunities for innovation and a greater impact on the student experience. The Education Portfolio leads the provision of a distinctive UTS education for staff and students, contributing to student success through quality teaching and engaging and innovative curricula. About the Role The Educational Media Producer is a key member of the Learning Design & Technology Unit in the Education Portfolio. The incumbent collaborates with learning designers, academics and subject matter experts in the development of educational multimedia resources that support students learning. If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for: • Supporting the use of video and podcast production facilities, including providing studio inductions and guidance to staff using supported self-service recording spaces.• Supporting a range of scalable media production models, from supported self-service recording through to professionally produced educational media assets.• Collaborating with learning designers, academics and subject matter experts to plan and develop educational media that supports learning and teaching outcomes. • Managing all aspects of pre-production, including the sign-off process for video scripts and digital assets to be used in the finished media.• Maintaining and allocating media production resources including professional video recording equipment.• Managing all aspects of studio and location filming, including providing performance direction to on screen academic and subject matter experts.• Editing and managing video assets for the Education Portfolio. Demonstrated experience in professional media production - Strong skills across video and podcast production, including experience operating DSLR cameras, lighting, and sound equipment to produce high?quality, scalable and sustainable educational media assets.2. Advanced post?production and media management skills - Experience with professional editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere), strong understanding of video/audio formats and codecs, and ability to implement effective post?production workflows and media management.3. Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement - Ability to provide support and guidance on educational media best practice to academic and learning designers. Ability to contribute to media ideation and planning, and balance competing priorities across multiple projects while maintaining a client?focused approach4. Effective project and time management - Demonstrated ability to manage end?to?end media production workflows, meet tight deadlines, and deliver sustainable, accessible, and fit?for?purpose multimedia resources. Bonus desirable: Experience in planning or facilitating capability?building workshops and producing learning or support resources. Remuneration & Benefits Base Salary Range: $97,332 - $105,385 pa (HEW 6) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
