The Role
In this role you'll play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the benefits across The Defence Business Integration Program (DBIP). You'll collaborate closely with business representatives and senior leaders to assure that Defence investments deliver strategic objectives and tangible benefits.
Your responsibilities include:
Collaborating with business areas and projects to define clear benefits metrics, establish baseline measurements and track progress throughout the life of business capability;
Monitoring and evaluating benefits realisation against success criteria, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders;
Maintaining documentation related to benefits management, including benefit profiles, benefit realisation plans, and benefit dependency maps;
Working with constituent projects to facilitate identification and validation of benefits, ensuring that they are well-defined and achievable;
Using data analytics and visualisation tools to analyse benefit data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations;
Working with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for business enhancement and optimisation to inform strategies to maximise benefits realisation.
About our Team
The Defence Business Integration Program (DBIP) is modernising how Defence does business. It facilitates the transformation of enabling business capabilities that support Defence agility and preparedness.
The DBIP is managed by a small branch, currently consisting of 4 Directorates. One of those Directorates is the Capability Realisation and Assurance Directorate. We are a small team of passionate people who understand that improving business capability takes more than just new technology. We are developing a holistic approach to improving business capability that considers people, process, organisational structure, data and technology. We not only help our constituent projects out by ensuring they consider all of these elements, we also identify and implement change initiatives that sit above or across projects.
We work closely together so that we can leverage each other’s skills and experience and engage widely with stakeholders to understand the broader environment and identify practical initiatives to improve business capability.
Our work in benefits management effort is relatively new, so you will have the opportunity to really drive that effort. It’s a pretty exciting space and we’re keen to leverage your knowledge and skills.
