Responsibilities
Review existing as-built drawings
Perform field investigations
Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines
Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables
Perform feasibility studies
Prepare schematic designs
Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE
Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules
Design lighting selection and controls
Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems
Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies
Performs routine engineering work applying standard techniques
Performs basic engineering calculations
Prepares construction estimates and specifications for small size projects
Can independently create small reports

General Responsibilities
Prior experience working on Healthcare/Hospitals building Duties:
Pre-Design Engineering
• Review existing as-built drawings.
• Perform field investigations.
• Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
• Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables.
• Perform feasibility studies.
• Prepare schematic designs.
Design Engineering
• Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE.
• Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules.
• Design lighting selection and controls.
• Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
• Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
• Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) systems a plus
Design Complexity
• Performs routine engineering work applying standard techniques. Performs basic engineering calculations.
• Prepares construction estimates and specifications for small size projects.
• Can independently create small reports. Construction Administration Review submittals
Position Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Field
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification is a plus
• LEED Accreditation a plus
Working Knowledge
• Microsoft Office Suite
• AutoCAD
• Revit
• California Building Code
• National Electrical Code
• HCAI experience is a plus
• Net Zero Energy/Carbon experience a plus
