Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in implantable medical devices to support design remediation and product integration efforts on a high-impact medical device program. This onsite role requires hands-on expertise in electrical design, testing, and compliance within regulated environments.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline) with 4+ years of electrical engineering experience
• Medical device experience required (implantable experience strongly preferred)
• Experience with electronics testing, verification, and validation
• Hands-on experience with PCB/system-level design, debugging, and failure analysis
• Familiarity with IEC 14708, 45502, and/or 60601 standards
• Experience with Altium (or similar tools)
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with LTspice or similar simulation tools
• Experience in Design Acceptance and Design Verification testing
Responsibilities
• Lead and execute electrical design remediation and product refinement activities for implantable medical devices.
• Identify compliance gaps against internal work instructions and SOPs and define strategies to resolve them.
• Perform electronics testing, including design verification and validation, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation (specifications, FMEA, hazard analysis, validation reports).
• Conduct failure analysis, deep debugging, and root cause investigations on complex systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate technical progress, risks, and trade-offs to project stakeholders.
• Evaluate alternative engineering approaches and recommend optimal solutions.
• Support integration of acquired technologies into existing product portfolios.
