Are you a passionate, dedicated, and experienced employment litigation associate? Do you have a knack for handling complex wage-hour class action claims? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a Permanent Employment Litigation Associate specializing in California wage-hour class action cases. This role requires a strong understanding of California Labor Laws, and the ability to run cases from start to finish. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can effectively manage all aspects of the litigation process, from initiating legal proceedings to final resolution.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Employment Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for
• Handling a variety of wage-hour class action claims in accordance with California Labor Laws.
• Representing clients in court and arguing motions effectively.
• Drafting and responding to discovery and managing all aspects of litigation.
• Defending depositions and preparing clients and witnesses for depositions.
• Running cases from beginning to end, including trial preparation and trial.
• Advising clients on all aspects of PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims.
• Developing case strategies based on the facts of the case and the client's goals.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal principles and developments in employment law.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure a comprehensive defense strategy.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
• A minimum of 4-8 years of employment litigation experience.
• Must have significant experience handling California wage-hour class action claims.
• Proficiency in PAGA and California Labor Laws.
• Demonstrated ability to run cases from beginning to end.
• Experience in drafting and responding to discovery, arguing motions, and defending depositions.
• Must be admitted to practice in the state of California.
• Proven track record in defense litigation.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
