Job Description
You will be joining our team as an Engineer I, with the business title of Mechanical Engineer. We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling and drafting, requiring a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Your responsibilities as a CAD Engineer will include creating detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications. You will be tasked with generating engineering drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, and providing technical support for prototype development and 3D scanning and printing.
In addition to your engineering duties, you will also serve as a Lab Monitor, overseeing lab operations to ensure smooth functioning. This will involve tasks such as lab inventory management, ordering supplies, maintaining health and safety protocols, and supervising lab technician activities.
The lab areas you will be responsible for include Water Chemistry, Microbiology, Induction Motor testing (up to 10HP), Electronics/PCB development lab, Water pump testing lab (up to 10HP), 3D printing and LASER scanning, and Swimming pool equipment testing.
In terms of qualifications, we are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, at least 3 years of experience in CAD modeling and prototype development using SolidWorks, and a total minimum experience of 5 years. Proficiency in SolidWorks, knowledge of advanced modeling techniques, and exposure to plastics and castings will be advantageous. Additionally, candidates with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, experience with rapid prototyping techniques, and familiarity with other CAD software like AutoCAD or CATIA will be preferred.
You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively. Experience in product design and development, working in a water-related lab, and proficiency in MSOffice and relevant regulatory standards will be beneficial.
