Job Summary & Responsibilities
Come join our team of dedicated and caring educators at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School as we work together to meet the needs of our diverse student population.
The successful applicant will teach grade + English and Social Studies.
This opportunity is a temporary UFN contract, which is subject to change or cancel before June 27, 2026. In the event the teacher returns to work (work-hardening, part-time, full-time) before the end of the school year, the duration and/or FTE of this temporary assignment will be amended. The successful applicant must accept the reduced work week (amended to a part-time contract) but will have the option to remain in a temporary 1.0 FTE contract by working as a Priority TTOC on other days until June 27, 2026.
The starting annual salary for this full-time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2026 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Education & Experience
Major/minor in English, History or related Social Science
Experience teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies at the Secondary level
Eligible for B.C. Certification
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports

Assessment & Coaching: Utilize balanced assessment and feedback to improve student learning including the use of formative and summative assessment strategies.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Collaborate with others to achieve group goals and objectives
Caring & Inclusiveness: Create and maintain an environment that is caring, inclusive and supportive of all students
Flexibility & Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in the ability to adjust and adapt to changing circumstances
