THE FOCUS IS YOU:
As an Enterprise Senior Accountant, you will be in a new position of advanced technical aptitude and supervisory responsibilities. A Senior must be able to handle more complex assignments than the staff, begin to learn the complete process of managing all tasks regarding client work, and take a lead role in developing/reviewing the work of less experienced staff. The Senior role is the bridge between the staff, who are executing the client-service related tasks, and the management, who are strategizing and overseeing successful completion of efficient engagement activity and top-quality client service.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
Audit Strategy & Oversight:
• Lead and manage a team of audit professionals, including senior and staff members, in planning, executing, and concluding audit engagements
• Ensure adherence to engagement timelines, budgets, and firm standards
• Collaborate with partners and directors to develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans that address client-specific risks and objectives
• Oversee the allocation of resources, assignment of roles, and development of audit programs
• Conduct complex audit procedures, review workpapers, and assess audit findings to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and disclosures
• Monitor the progress of audit engagements, providing guidance to resolve challenges and meet milestones
• Stay abreast of evolving accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to engagements
• Assist in providing guidance to the team on complex accounting and auditing issues
Research and Analysis:
• Stay abreast of evolving audit and tax laws, regulations, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to client engagements and internal training initiatives
• Coordinate and complete audit and tax research efforts to address client inquiries, resolve complex issues, and guide decision-making
Client Communication:
• Effectively communicate complex audit and tax concepts and strategies to clients, tailoring explanations to their understanding and addressing their questions or concerns
Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of audit documentation, reports, and conclusions with firm standards and regulations
• Follow best practices and methodologies to enhance the quality of audit engagements
Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other audit professionals within the firm to share insights, knowledge, and best practices
• Coach, mentor, and develop audit staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
• Cultivate a collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and effective communication among team members
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience
• 2-5 years in relevant position
• Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred
Education
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technology experience
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
License / Certification
• Must progress professionally by obtaining relevant certification as soon as possible if certification is not already attained in order to advance
• Must maintain required CPE credits annually
Legal / Compliance
• Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document
• Government engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government
