Job Summary
We are looking for an entry level accountant to join our team. They will have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent), and they will be making plans to sit for the CPA exam. Our ideal Accountant will be hard working with attention to details and good communication skills to give our clients great customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work under the direction of senior accountants
Accurately perform data entry tasks
Preparation of individual tax returns
Assisting with business year end clean up and tax returns
Payroll processing
Payroll tax processing
Preparation of financial statements
Sales tax processing
Requirements and Qualifications
At least an associate degree in accounting; bachelor's degree or higher preferred
Strong math, organizational, computer and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Attention to detail
Strong accounting knowledge
Prior accounting experience
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Desktop and Payroll a plus
Knowledge of Thomson Reuters suite of products (Accounting CS, UltraTax, etc.) a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word a plus
