Job Description
Olsson is seeking an entry-level survey team leader to thrive in a dynamic data center environment. In this role, you will report daily to the project site, assisting with layout tasks as directed by the project manager, with some visits to our Des Moines office for coordination and reviews. Guided by our experienced land survey manager, you will utilize your understanding of field operations to contribute to team success. You will also have the chance to take on project management responsibilities, enhancing your skills while ensuring survey quality and precision.
You will work in diverse terrain and various weather conditions. This position involves working on a confidential project site in Cedar Rapids, IA with occasional visits to the Des Moines, IA office.
This position includes:
• Use of a company truck for transportation to job sites.
• Provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Prescription safety eyewear and work boot reimbursement program.
• Company-issued laptop.
• Options for cell phone reimbursement.
Qualifications
You are passionate about:

You bring to the team:
• Strong communication abilities.
• A collaborative mindset.
• 4 years of experience working with a licensed surveyor.
• Preferred experience with construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA surveys.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• A commitment to working safely and alertly.
• An associate degree in surveying or two years of relevant experience is preferred.
