Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and engaging ETABS Online Trainer to deliver high-quality training sessions in ETABS (structural modeling and analysis software) to learners remotely. The trainer will design curriculum, conduct live online classes, develop training materials, assess learner progress, and support students through their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop a comprehensive training curriculum (beginner to advanced levels) for ETABS including structural modeling, analysis, design of concrete and steel structures, seismic & wind loading, and result interpretation.
• Create instructional materials: slide decks, demonstration models, exercises, assignments, quizzes, assessments, and practical projects.
• Conduct live virtual training sessions (webinars, video conferencing), ensuring interactivity, clarity, and engagement.
• Guide and mentor learners, respond to their queries, conduct doubt‐clearing sessions, and provide feedback on assignments.
• Evaluate learners’ performance via quizzes, projects, tests, and certify successful participants.
• Continuously update and improve course content based on feedback, latest software updates, and current design codes.
• Monitor attendance, progress, and prepare reports/dashboards on learner performance.
• Coordinate with technical support/IT to ensure smooth online delivery (platforms, software access, versioning).
• Optionally, collaborate in promoting the training program (webinars, demos, marketing) or customizing content for corporate clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience with ETABS software (modeling, analysis, design) across real projects.
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles, design codes (e.g. IS, ACI, Eurocode, etc.), seismic & wind load provisions.
• Prior experience in training or teaching (especially online) is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (especially in delivering technical content).
• Ability to simplify complex engineering concepts and convey them clearly.
• Patience, mentoring attitude, responsiveness to learners’ questions and learning pace.
• Familiarity with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, LMS, screen sharing, whiteboards).
• Capability to prepare course materials, assessments, and evaluation methods.
• Time management skills, self-discipline, and ability to manage batches/schedules.
Preferred / Nice to Have
• Certification in ETABS or related structural design software.
• Experience in teaching structural software like STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.
• Prior work experience in structural engineering firms, handling real building projects.
