We are looking for someone who can:

Produce high quality, succinct evidence summaries for a number of priority projects
Provide timely and tailored advice and support to ACI staff regarding access to and assessment of available scientific evidence
Project management including preparation of project briefs, coordination of tasks and stakeholder consultation.

What you will be doing

This role will work collaboratively with all ACI Portfolios, the Ministry for Health, Local Health Districts and health professionals to complete and provide advice on evidence reviews. The Evidence Generation Officer Synthesis will:


Support an evidence synthesis function that provides timely, valid and relevant information to clinical networks, the ACI Executive and other stakeholders, searching and summarising peer reviewed and grey literature
Support clinical networks in their use of the research evidence base in developing clinical guidance and models of care
Support a horizon scanning service that provides timely updates to key groups regarding emerging evidence and innovations

Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3
Remuneration: $127,150.00 – $144,444.00 per annum excluding Superannuation
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent; and experience in searching bibliographic databases, using reference management software, and producing accurate and succinct evidence summaries
Demonstrated experience in undertaking literature searches using multiple databases to inform decision-making in health service delivery
Demonstrated experience to undertake thorough and rigorous critical appraisal and synthesis of research evidence
Demonstrated ability and experience in project management
