The Winnipeg Squash Racquet Club is seeking an enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and open-minded individual to join our leadership team as Executive Chef.

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations of the Club, including à la carte dining, member events, banquets, catering functions, and kitchen operations. The successful candidate will lead by example, inspire the culinary team, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and member satisfaction are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
· Direct, organize, and oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations
· Lead and inspire the culinary team in a positive and professional manner
· Create an exceptional member and guest dining experience through high-quality food and presentation
· Develop, cost, and implement seasonal menus and feature offerings
· Maintain strong food and labour cost controls in line with budget expectations
· Participate in food preparation and kitchen operations in a hands-on leadership role when required
· Ensure all health, safety, sanitation, and workplace standards are consistently met
· Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate culinary team members
· Provide coaching and performance feedback to kitchen staff when appropriate
· Collaborate with Club Management on member events, private functions, tournaments, and special events
· Ensure kitchen equipment and facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized manner
· Contribute positively to the overall culture and success of the Club
Qualifications
· 5–10 years of culinary leadership experience in a hospitality, club, hotel, or restaurant environment
· Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Senior Sous Chef preferred
· Red Seal Certification considered a strong asset
· Strong understanding of food costing, labour management, and kitchen operations
· Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
· Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
· Basic computer and administrative skills required
· Must reside within commuting distance of Winnipeg, Manitoba
