Executive – Embedded Power Electronics
Job details
Job description, work day and responsibilities
This position is focused on embedded Firmware design and development in power electronics systems. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth experience in developing embedded systems for applications such as 3-phase bidirectional inverters, bidirectional DC-DC and AC-DC converters using platforms like TMS320F28* and STM32G/H* series microcontrollers.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Design and develop embedded Firmware solutions for power electronics systems (Inverters, Converters).
• Development using TMS320F28* and/or STM32* microcontrollers.
• Collaborate with hardware and testing teams for system integration.
• Implement real-time control algorithms including SPWM/PWM generation (up to 100kHz).
• Execute cascaded PI control loops with simultaneous multi-channel ADC reads. and generate PWM to trigger MOSFET/IGBT
• Generate and validate PID parameters using MATLAB simulations based on system loop response times.
• Simulate and model power conversion systems using PSIM and Simulink.
• Lead Firmware activities.
• Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC and industrial safety standards.
Selection Criteria
• Proven experience in embedded Firmware design for power electronics applications.
• Strong exposure to:
• 3-phase Bidirectional Inverters
• Bidirectional DC-DC converters (Buck-Boost, Isolated DAB)
• Bidirectional AC-DC converters (AFE-based)
• Familiarity with Power electronics basic control theory and closed-loop system tuning.
• Simulation experience in PSIM, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Real-time debugging and testing experience in lab environments.
Required Skill Sets
• Expertise in:
• SPWM/PWM generation up to 100kHz
