Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The position supports the MP and MVAT assessments & litigations in a timely and effective manner. With the increased focus of the State VAT Department to complete the pending assessments and the increased focus on computerization (through various online validations), regular reviews and system effectiveness must be ensured.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary: Support for GST compliance Also responsible for VAT (MP) assessments & appeals relating to: Construction contracts covering VAT / CST, Entry tax - Ability to handle various statutory compliances, operational procedures & related documentation - Team Worker - Handle various notices, audits, assessments & litigation of the Company Secondary: GST systems support and reconciliation activities
DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES
Corporate Indirect Taxation Dept. at Powai, Mumbai is responsible for VAT and GST compliances pertaining to the States of Maharashtra & MP and litigation support in coordination with all the IC’s. It also supports some of the S&A companies with respect to Indirect Tax compliance
