Role Specification:
Executive - Lease Accounting IFRS Reporting Manager
Senior Manager, Pune
Purpose of the Role
The role is responsible for synergizing ER and CSR strategy while providing direction across various units along with Skill Development in order to have a seamless ONE TATA MOTORS approach within compliance requirements and the company philosophy.
The candidate would lead IR and Skill Development vertical centrally managing multiple production facilities across different parts of India.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the global accounting activities for lease accounting and co-ordinate with senior stakeholders in Finance and business across globe.
Oversight of global transactions and processes for Lease Accounting ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
Monitoring and reviewing the month-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely accounting records are maintained including the review of monthly journal entries and EPM balance reconciliations.
Work with the reporting manager in handling and solving complex bottlenecks and issues for all matters impacting lease accounting.
Own final issue resolution for items with potential global impact.
Ensuring execution of standardized control procedures and ensuring internal controls are effectively maintained for assigned tasks.
Responsible for monthly closing reports variance analysis and reconciliations for leases in accordance with IFRS and covering the SOX framework and own the compliance aspect regarding this.
Supporting internal and external audit requirements.
Develop and review monthly lease metrics KPIs with business process owners and business stakeholders to improve processes and resolve issues.
Preparation of result reports and procedures and the presentation of findings and specific recommendations to Senior Management.
Produce finance-related reports for Senior Management and for Head Office and overseas regulators where applicable.
Liaise with the regulatory authorities and maintain good relations with them.
Manage all applicable SOX documentation compliance and provide audit support to both internal and external auditors.
Ensuring SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements maintaining documentation of key processes and controls and enhancing the control environment with effective controls.
Partnering with the Global Process Owner on various initiatives.
Driving improvements to the efficiency of accounting processes and timeliness of deliverables.
Other duties and special projects as required e.g. analysis automation process standardization etc.
