What the role is:
The School of Applied Science that is overseeing the NYP- Standard Development Organisation (SDO) invites applications for full-time admin executive position as a Executive / Senior Executive under the National Standardisation Programme. You will be reporting to the Head of NYP-SDO as you work closely with industry partners from government agencies, institutions of higher learning, professional bodies, and industry associations to identify, develop and promote standards to support the Food Manufacturing and Food Services industry.
What you will be working on:
• Provide secretariat support to Technical Committees and work groups such as organise meetings, draft standards and record minutes of meetings;
• Coordinating Technical Committee Chairperson in attending local and international standard committee meetings and meetings’ report preparation;
• Engage standards partners and external agencies in standards development work;
• Prepare presentation and meeting materials for meetings;
• Organise and manage strategic planning and work plan sessions for Food Standard Committee and monitor the implementation of strategic programmes;
• Organise standard partners appreciation events; and
• Collate information, data and feedback for standards development related activities and monitor the standard adoption KPIs.
What we are looking for:
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience;
• Good writing and communication skills;
• Ability to think critically and possess good interpersonal skills to work well with standards partners;
• Ability to work independently and is a team player; and
• Secretariat experience and good IT skills are advantageous.
