Senior Associate

A top 60 accounting firm is seeking an Experienced Accountant to join their expanding Business Services department. This role involves a combination of office-based and client-facing responsibilities, working in small teams under the supervision of a manager and partner. The position requires a balance of year-end and management accounts preparation, as well as drafting tax computations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce financial statements and well-presented working papers in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Act as a key client contact, providing financial advice and support to a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Oversee and review the work of junior team members for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.
• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline operations and reporting.
• Handle ad hoc specialist assignments as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
• Demonstrable experience in full accounts production from basic prime books and records to computerized accounting packages.
• Proficiency with Sage and QuickBooks software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Flexible attitude with the ability to prioritize workloads.
Desirable:
• Knowledge of Pro-Audit, CCH, and Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel software.
