Payroll Trainee Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Trainee to support our team in executing accurate and timely payroll processes. The trainee will work closely with the payroll team and gain exposure to end-to-end payroll cycles, compliance, audits, and employee query management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in processing payroll inputs including attendance, leaves, and salary components
• Help in checking monthly payroll reports and supporting documents
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, etc.)
• Coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement and reconciliation
• Support in responding to employee payroll-related queries
• Assist in maintaining and updating payroll records and employee files
• Help in preparing reports for internal/external audits
• Support in automation and process improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance or HR Specialization)
• Experience: Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant internship experience
• Skills:
• Basic knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliances
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas)
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Attention to detail and time management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits:
• Stipend (Trainee): ₹18,000 per month (CTC: ₹2.26 LPA)
• Trainee Period: 1 Year
• Post-Traineeship (FTE): Starting Salary ₹3.36 LPA (₹22,000 per month after PF & PT deductions)
