Position summary
The EY GDS Assurance team is looking for a Senior Manager to build and grow our Managed Service solutionin Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for working closely with FAAS Partners and Senior Managers on client engagements across Americas, EMEIAand APAC. In addition to managing service delivery, the individual will provide technical support, grow the GDSAssurance services portfolio and coach Managers and Assistant Managers.The Senior Manager should have extensive experience in Record to Report and FP&A Managed Services.While the Senior Manager will be based either in our Gurgaon or Bangalore office, the individual will be required to travel to other countries (on a short to medium–term basis) to handle client engagements.You will report to the Global FAAS GDS Leader and work closely with the other global FAAS and regionalFAAS leadership teams as well as global delivery and enablement teams.
Primary responsibilities
Lead Managed Service solution build out including the team and delivery approach in GDS FAAS
Lead large multiple client engagements in Finance & Accounting Managed Service space
Support complex global pursuits as a solution architect
Strategic support to individual global Managed Service solution/ offering leaders in solution development/build out of global offering
Build delivery infrastructure, team and coordinate tools and technology developments/ 3rd party Alliancespropositions
Solution architecture and pursuit support
Work on complex global pursuits as a solution architect collaboratively with Cross Service line teams,
Subject matter resources and clients
Work with Global and GDS cross service line Managed Service leads to define and agree FAAS role inlarge deals
Service delivery and engagement management
Oversee transition, solution deployment including resourcing, location, technology and integration.
Support development of assets, delivery enablers, deployment of standardized and data driven delivery approach, automation and opportunities to deliver continuous improvement
Lead and support set up and operational deployment of Project Management office
Manage and develop people
Build and lead a team of Managers, Assistant Managers and Seniors and make sure the team delivers
high–quality work, per EY Global methodology, on time and to budget
Conduct FAAS team performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to the team performance and career development
Identify development opportunities and training needs for high performing Manager, Assistant Managers and Seniors
Manage business and clients
Actively support the Americas, EMEIA and APAC FAAS leadership both in terms of growth as well as quality initiatives
Enhance relationships with global teams and leverage connections to identify opportunities for work at GDS
Qualifications, skills and experience
A qualification in Chartered Accountant (CA) CPA (US), ACCA (UK), MBA from reputed school shall be preferred (not mandatory though)
12 to 15 years of industry experience in transformational outsourcing
Experience in supporting cross-functional (transition/ migration, solution development etc.) teams in continually identifying and effectively capturing new and previously identified service opportunities
Well versed with Managing operations inclusive of conceptualizing & implementing short / long term plans,managing teams with focus on excelling business targets & service delivery metrics
Successfully executed short / long term projects and transitions with extensive experience of developing procedures, service standards & operational policies for business excellence
Demonstrated experience in managing large scale sales/deal shaping, transitioning of large scale finance shared services operations and global solutioning efforts
Demonstrated experience building client solutions that leverage and reuse existing assets and capabilities including alliances.
Deep expertise in end-to-end process analysis and design across record to report, and Financial Planning & Analysis
Industry knowledge across Technology, especially in IT outsourcing models, Cloud/Saas/Paas solutions and the role of IT in digital change
People management - manage and drive hiring, trainings and upskilling of teams on new concepts/ technologies/ domains based on the business/ organizational requirements
