The Kitchen Creations is a leading manufacturer of high-quality wooden kitchen furniture in New Zealand. We specialize in custom-built kitchen cabinetry, benchtops, and storage solutions, delivering superior craftsmanship and innovative designs.

The role involves assisting in the manufacturing process, operating machinery, assembling kitchen furniture components, and ensuring quality control. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace

30 hours gauranteed for this role

Roles and Responsibilites:

Loading and unloading wooden materials and components.

Assist in cutting, sanding, and shaping wooden panels as per design specifications.

Assisting in the selection and preparation of raw materials.

Assist the carpenters and cabinet makers in operating woodworking machinery, including saws, drills, and CNC routers.

Assist in assembling wooden furniture components using nails, screws, adhesives, and other fasteners.

Ensuring accurate measurement and fitting of wooden parts.

Assist in sanding, polishing, and finishing furniture to meet design and quality standards.

Inspecting finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with company specifications.

Assisting in packaging and dispatching finished kitchen furniture.

Following all workplace health and safety regulations.

Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Keeping the work area clean and organized to prevent hazards.

Assisting in inventory management and reporting stock levels.

Supporting senior craftsmen, cabinet makers and production supervisors in daily tasks.

Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required:

No formal qualifications required, but relevant experience (factory work) in woodworking or furniture manufacturing is beneficial.

Previous experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or a factory setting is preferred

Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely

Basic understanding of measurements and technical drawings

Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials

Available to work on 7 days week roster and later evening shifts.
