About the role
New South Lawyers' Family Law division is growing. And we are looking to fill a number of full-time roles based in Parramatta, NSW. Current available positions include: Lawyer, Associate, Senior Associate and Special Counsel.
What you'll be doing
Tasks will vary based on specific position but may include
Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property settlements and more
Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients, guiding them through complex legal processes
Prepare and file court documents, negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings
Conduct legal research, draft agreements and correspondence, and stay up-to-date with changes in family law
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, sharing your expertise to develop the team
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and relevant stakeholders
What we're looking for
Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of family law, including divorce, asset division, child custody and more
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
Proven track record of successfully representing clients in court proceedings
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and mentor junior lawyers
Passionate about delivering exceptional client service and achieving the best possible outcomes
