Position Overview
We are seeking a Finance Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on all aspects of commercial finance, lending, and transactional matters. We have openings available at our Buffalo, Rochester, or Albany office locations. If you have 2 plus years of experience as a finance associate and are looking to build your practice with the support of an AM Law 200 firm, let's chat!
Key Responsibilities
• Drafting and negotiating finance agreements, loan documentation, and letters of credit
• Providing legal advice on equipment leasing, acquisition financing, and other finance-related transactions
• Conducting due diligence and reviewing financial statements, contracts, and other relevant documents
• Preparing and presenting legal opinions to clients
• Assisting with the resolution of disputes and other legal issues
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York state bar and in good standing
• 2+ years of experience in commercial finance, lending, and transactional matters
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending and finance regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
