The Role
Our fantastic Finance team are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner (FBP) to support the financial performance of our central support functions, providing quality analysis and challenge to optimise our returns in an engaging and enthusiastic team based in our Bristol office.
The purpose of this role is to deliver accurate and timely financial analysis and forecasting for the business, work closely with budget holders to optimise the financial performance of our central support cost centres, as well as support the Central FP&A Manager with our Group financial planning.
What You`ll Be Doing
Own central cost centre budgets, responsibility for accurate and timely reporting, forecasting and analysis
Build and maintain a relationship with budget holders, being their key contact for all matters relating to central cost centres and commercial units
Support and challenge budget holders on performance, driving a cost-conscious discipline and ensuring risks to budget are managed and mitigated wherever possible
Support the FP&A manager with consolidated head office forecast (incl. recharging/converting to Unite share)
Drive improvements within the role, exploring opportunities to increase efficiencies and provide quality insights to support leadership teams with decision-making
Work closely with the management accounting team to ensure any variances in actuals are flagged
Maintain a good working knowledge of other areas of the business, and activities of our competitors; keeps up to date with trends and developments within own professional area
What We`re Looking for in You
Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or significant Finance experience with post qualification experience gained within a commercial environment
Experience of working in Oracle EPM preferred
Excellent communication skills including inspiring trust and influencing; communicating technical financial information in a clear and commercial manner; adapting style and content for different audiences; and demonstrating a confident, credible and accomplished presentation style.
Evidence of working in a fast paced, high change environment and able to manage multiple demands effectively whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
An ability to develop effective working relationships with senior internal and external business stakeholders
Ability to provide challenge and hold to account commercial teams in order to drive business performance
Excellent analytical skills
The ability to understand, empathise with and deliver against customer needs
Possesses and promotes a positive attitude, with the ability to adapt swiftly and a willingness to undertake challenging tasks
