The Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. You will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s finances and accounting systems and to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting and budget and forecasts preparation.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:
• Managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Preparing and publishing timely weekly reports as well as monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Job Qualifications and Skill SetsBelow are the qualifications expected of an accountant:
• Proven working experience as a Financial Accountant
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• CPA designation, or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user
• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Passionate, great attitude and team player
