MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The Accounting Centre of Excellence (ACE) is centralized, global capability of UniOps Finance Controllership. As a controller in ACE team you can truly add value by interpreting the data. It's not just closing the books and compiling reports but to understand the data and add insights. The key here is to promptly identify any gaps and overlaps in various processed and controls and develop an action plan to mitigate the risk. Design mechanism to improve data integrity to provide enhanced management information which enable better decision making. Keeping pace with the changing technology and ensure policy compliance and finance operations that are effective and efficient
JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Manager (Accounting Centre of Excellence) role is a key role in UniOps Controllers team responsible for driving the accuracy in financial statements, maintaining strong controls and standardization of various processes. This will be a non-traditional controllership role where in addition to strong accounting concepts a person needs to have an analytical mindset and exhibit intellectual curiosity.
The role holder has the following key accountabilities:
This role is responsible for effectively managing the UniOps P&L, streamline and innovate different processed across UniOps, Ensuring correctness of P/L by monitoring month end closure activities and discuss with the stakeholders Collaboration with stakeholders across different functions in UniOps to gain the expertise required for critical analysis and use the same to improve financial results & controls, Monitor and highlights projects where the spends have exceeded with the allotted budgets (Out of Governance) and take remedial actions on the same, Review the spends booked under Restructuring CRG and align with the restructuring policy and approved business case. We use our expertise to execute strategic initiative and provide reports to leadership more efficiently and effectively Leading the team efforts to do in depth analysis and do RCA of any deviations in financial statements Propose structure solutions for processes to remove inefficiency Identifying potential areas to create operational efficiency, leverage technology and automate manual processes Hold people accountable, have high level of responsibility, strong leadership skill, have a bias for action and growth mind set Lead assignment to closure Ability to multi-task and deliver desired result Key interactions: The role will interface with the following stakeholders:
