Job Description:
As a Junior Finance Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to assist in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. You will work closely with the Finance Operations Manager and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes. Your role will involve analyzing financial data, coordinating financial activities, and providing support in various finance-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate reports and present findings to the Finance Operations Manager.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the Finance Operations Manager in preparing budgets and financial forecasts. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary data and ensure accuracy.
3. Financial Operations Management: Help in managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
4. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
5. Internal Controls: Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
6. Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial documentation. Assist in conducting financial audits and reviews as required.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, treasury, and operations, to ensure smooth financial operations. Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors and regulatory bodies when necessary.
8. Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
9. Team Support: Provide support to the finance team as needed, including training new team members, assisting with workload distribution, and addressing queries.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in finance operations, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
