The general ledger accountant position is accountable for managing period end close activity, perform reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis, accruals, provision, amortizations and assist with various reporting requirements
Principal Accountabilities:
Responsibilities include month end /quarter end closing of General accounting activities. Practical exposure on the various balance sheet reconciliations like prepaids, accrual, cash & bank, subledger account, etc. Hand on experience in Intercompany Reconciliation, Intercompany cross-charge, settlement, Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Fixed Assets. This position will support the Management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures, and policies. Well versed with accounting for prepaids, amortizations, accruals, and provisions. Perform foreign currency revaluation accounting and generate the financial reports as required by the management. The successful candidate will have a strong desire for innovative processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Co-ordinate with other functional finance teams like Treasury, Collections, FP&A. Support with the information and explanation for internal and external audits. Adhere to company accounting policies, US GAAP, and other external requirements.
Skill Set and Qualifications:
B. Com, M. Com, CA Inter. Min 4 to 7 years of experience Prior experience in General accounting is a strong plus. Self-starter, a team player, and detail-oriented person. Zeal towards Operational Excellence/Process improvement & simplifications Knowledge of financial controls and procedures, generally accepted accounting principal. Good organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
