Primary Purpose of Role
• To support the financial accounting function by managing the accounting pertaining to: General Ledger, Banking, AP, AR and other support functions, in order to control the integrity of the reported financial results and ensure the distribution of accurate reporting.
• Month-end closer and audit requirements
• Establish robust financial systems to support scalable KAS GT operations, developing and implementing solutions with global tech team and Kmart finance team.
Technical Skills required:
• Solid accounting knowledge and financial knowhow
• Experience using SAP finance an advantage
• Demonstrated competence in disciplines of accounting principles and numeracy skills
• Working knowledge of accounting process, accounting standards, financial and KPI reporting
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Financial Processes
• Manage the accounting and month end reporting for KAS GT independently, accurately and within timelines/requirements
• Identifying gaps and areas of improvement
• Complete, support and review relevant balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Support the preparation of half year and year end results and audit process
• Representing finance in the tech development prioritization process to ensure finance workstreams are appropriately prioritized.
• Implementation of documented solutions
• One point of contact for KAS GT financial accounting related queries to deliver financial accounts with a high degree of integrity
• general support of KAS GT financial accountants
