Financial Accountant Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a Financial Accountant with insurance experience to join a high-performing finance team in a growing business.
Working under a high-calibre leader with 10+ years of industry experience, you'll gain exposure to complex reporting, APRA compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
The Role:
Play an important role in financial reporting, governance, and compliance
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and insurance industry regulations
Support regulatory reporting for APRA, GST BAS, and stamp duty while maintaining high accuracy
Manage month-end and year-end processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Ensure robust internal controls are in place, supporting the business in maintaining financial integrity and risk management
Contribute to the design and improvement of reporting and analytical systems, supporting effective decision-making at a leadership level
What We're Looking For:
A technically strong, detail-oriented financial accountant who thrives in a structured, fast-moving, and regulated environment
CA/CPA qualification (or working towards it)
3-5 years' experience in financial accounting within insurance or servicing insurance clients in business services
Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory requirements within a large, structured finance team
Experience in monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal processing, and APRA reporting
High-level proficiency in SAP, BI tools, and Excel, with a focus on data integrity and efficiency
A proactive mindset, with the ability to collaborate across finance, risk, and operational teams
